About the Role
As a Retail Operations Manager for the NY area, you will lead and manage retail store teams, ensuring the effective execution of retail strategies to achieve sales, profit, and customer satisfaction goals. The role involves collaborating with corporate departments, selecting the store locations, conducting store visits, and providing feedback to maintain consistency across stores. You will oversee recruitment, training, and development of staff, track KPIs, enforce operational standards, and ensure compliance with regulations.
Job Duties
- Lead and manage the retail store teams (Greater LA area) to ensure the successful execution of the retail operations strategy. Drive operational excellence to meet and exceed sales, profit, customer satisfaction, and brand awareness objectives.
- Collaborate closely with corporate partners and vendors, including marketing, merchandising, design, logistics, real estate to develop and implement strategies focused on market research, store location selection, expansions, brand building, and customer engagement. Align initiatives with sales growth, brand development, and customer education efforts.
- Conduct regular store visits to assess operational effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and provide actionable feedback and support to store management teams. Ensure consistency in operational standards across all stores.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of store managers and their teams. Foster a culture of high performance and accountability, ensuring all team members meet their performance goals and contribute to the company's success.
- Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales growth, brand awareness, customer satisfaction, and team performance. Use data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and operational improvements.
- Drive results by enhancing and enforcing SOPs and retail processes. Ensure all retail operations are efficient, scalable, and aligned with company goals.
- Ensure that all retail stores are fully compliant with local, state, and federal regulations, including health, safety, and labor laws. Develop and implement risk management strategies to maintain a safe and legally compliant work environment.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in retail operations management, with at least 3 years managing multiple stores across the US.
- In-depth understanding of retail operations processes and customer service standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to lead teams to achieve business goals.
- Excellent data analysis skills with the ability to use data to optimize operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Experience in women's apparel retail store experience is preferred.
- Bilingual in Chinese is a big plus.
- Necessary business travel is required.
